Eduardo Lan Consulting is a sole practice run by Eduardo Lan from Maple, Ontario, Canada. I am the person accountable for the information described here, and eduardo@eduardolanconsulting.com reaches me directly. If you need a postal address for a formal request, write to me and I will provide it.

What I collect, and only when you offer it. Your name and email address when you download a framework or subscribe to The Signal or La Señal. Your name and email address when you register for a workshop, which is handled by Zoom on Zoom's own registration page. Whatever you choose to write in the contact form. That is the whole list. I do not ask for, and have no use for, anything about your employer's incidents, injuries or personnel.

This site does not track you. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third party tracking script on any page. That is a deliberate choice and you can verify it by viewing the page source. Cookies are limited to what the hosting and form services below need in order to work.

Why I have it. To send you the thing you asked for, to reply to you, and, if you subscribed, to send the newsletter every two weeks. I do not sell your information, rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Who processes it besides me. Three services, each doing one job: Netlify hosts this site and receives contact form submissions. GoHighLevel stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter. Zoom handles workshop registration and the session itself. These providers process data in Canada, the United States and other countries, which means it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

Consent, and taking it back. Every email I send carries a one click unsubscribe, and it works immediately. You can also write to me and ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, and I will do that. I keep subscriber details until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove them, and contact form messages for as long as the conversation is live plus a reasonable period afterwards.

The law this sits under. As a Canadian business I am governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and my email practice follows Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), which is why I ask people to opt in rather than adding them. If you are not satisfied with how I have handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Readers in Mexico are additionally protected by the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, and the Spanish version of this page is written as the aviso de privacidad that law expects.

If this changes. I will update this page and change the date below. I will not quietly start collecting something new and leave this text as it was.
